Steve Bellas is a broadcast journalist and media consultant.  He's maintained a dual career in television broadcasting and education for over 30 years.  He was with the NBC affiliate for 22 years as a weather anchor, news anchor, and reporter.  His stories have also aired on the ABC affiliate in the Crescent City and NBC, CNN, and the BBC. His two documentaries on post Katrina business recovery, done for the Southeastern Channel, were honored with a Communicator Award and numerous nominations for national and regional awards.    

     As an educator, Steve has taught on the secondary and university levels for over 20 years, and is a full-time faculty member of the Department of Communication, Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, Louisiana.  He's also taught with Tulane University, the University of New Orleans, and he was a guest professor at the University of Innsbruck, Austria, as part of UNO's International Program.
